Tampa US Director of Sales Blake DTS - arriving in Fort Lauderdale during College Week! ...and for some reason the night we spent in a liferaft in the middle of the river! Evening rounds After spending 6 months aboard the Hong Kong patrol ship HMS Starling, left the RN and moved back to HK in 1990. Spent 4 more years there, having a very drunken time, between sports and various other adventures. Managed to get a job with my Physics degree in the Semiconductor Industry, where I have remained ever since. Got married just before leaving Hong Kong; moved to Scotland; 2 kids; divorced; new job based in Tampa, Florida; 3 years later got married (again); 2 more kids; and am still in Florida 19 years later. Work for a European Semiconductor Equipment Company - with most of business in Asia! So I travel frequently, and try to stay fit doing swim/bike/run, and various other fun events when I can. Enjoy sailing (mainly for vacations), and power boating / water sports around the coast and lakes here.

Guildford GB Deputy Headteacher St. Vincent The smell. Battle dress, folding socks before rounds and trying not to untuck my carefully ironed sheets when sleeping, so as to save a few minutes the next day. Studied physics at Southampton University, then did PhD in laser physics before teacher training and teaching in Durham for eight years. Moved south to Guildford in 1998, married Helen (47) in 2000 and have James (10) and Charlotte (7) to account for much of that time; time well spent.

TO Royal Australian Navy Hawke The Bosun's daughter Coastal nav training Did 23 years of them in the RN, managed to get most of the sexy MCD jobs, but left after a 4 year USN exchange, transferring to the RAN to start over. I have now done many sexy MCD jobs here too, but finally got bored with it and have gone back to driving ships. I am currently based in Tonga as the Maritime Surveillance Advisor to the Tongan Navy. It is a RAN role and part of a program we run across the South Pacific.

Trowbridge GB Senior Supply Chain Manager Hawke High Tea and Sticky Buns at 1600hrs..! Thinking I'm late for 0730 river duty when it's actually 0600hrs..! Left BRNC to immediately enrol into FE College to improve upon my A Levels with the intention of returning one day and passing those Professionals. Ended up joining the RNSTS, now in DE&S Ships and have so far had a progressive career up through the grades over the intervening 26 years. Now spent more time on board various Platforms than I ever thought I would...Second best perhaps but making the most of it and definitely playing my part in keeping the RN something to be proud of..!

Edmonton CA R&D Program Leader Cunningham PLX. Honestly. All that pointless messing about in boats. Way out of my comfort zone. Became a clanky and was fortunate to have a couple of foreign jobs. Like many, I liked being abroad so much I decided to make it permanent. Left the RN at the end of 08 and moved across the pond for a 5th and final time, to Canada. Now settled in Edmonton with my wife of 18 years, Liz (whom I met at a Freedom Fields party - imagine that!). Now leading a very diverse clean energy R&D team, but also a part-time volunteer ski patroller.
