Northend GB Run my own management training business Blake Senior Gun Room - getting drinks on a mess bill Receiving first mess bill (see above) Loads!! Chose redundancy when pusser handed me a large brown envelope. A difficult but correct decision. Worked in the commercial world (quite a shock) as a training manager, then joined a consultancy organisation. Loved the work, hated the politics. Looked at joining another organisation but realised I was probably unemployable (too much of a rebel). Only option was to form my own business. Great decision, never looked back. Still doing it, love it.

Devon GB Cooking School Director Hawke 4 o'clockers and beagling Those bloody steps! After 5 years in the RN I worked in corporate training and development for about 12 years running lots of team and leadership workshops which never failed to remind me of BRNC. Since 2002 we have lived in Kingswear and look across the River at the Naval College, a weird experience at first but I\\\'ve stopped twitching now. I\\\'ve been married to Holly since 1992 and we now run a Cooking School; this is my excuse for not being able to wear my old uniform any more. I've remained firmly routed in Kingswear.

Eastleigh GB Still in the RN Cunningham DTS. From the college itself, mainly the smell of floor polish. Trying to keep a straight face whilst shouting 'Kill, Maim, Destroy" I have spent the last 25 years doing a variety of schoolie things in training establishments, in MoD, at sea, in headquarters and with the Army. I am still serving, and presently with the Army again in Blandford Garrison. I like to think of it as missionary work. I have been married to Pippa for nearly 22 years and have a boy, Peter(15) and girl, Heather (12). One of (I think) the last four Sep 85 Schoolies serving, and the only one left from Cunningham I am certainly the only one who's wife was recently ordained as a CofE priest, and thus a second career of coffee mornings, fund raising and PCC meetings beckons...

Bath GB Dean of the Faculty of Engineering & Design Vincent Leaving Not enough room for the answer! Became a hard core 'Manadon' instructor but had two years on exchange with the United States Navy. I was appointed to the US Naval Academy at Annapolis and had a great time. While at Manadon I studied part-time for a PhD and started to become a career academic. Left the Navy in 1995 and went to the University of Bath as a lecturer in mechanical engineering. Made it to a Personal Chair in 2005 and I'm now the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Design.

Bushey Heath GB NHS Manager Blake The look on Mr Greenaway's and the other staff officer's faces when we post DTS Blakes marched onto the parade ground after the band and guard after oversleeping in the Spring 86 final passing out parade (minus wooders of course) Having the damned surgeon cdr removing my big toe toe nail post PLX as it was infected. He may have been jolly but I certainly wasn't. Stayed in the RN until 2005 (20 years to the day). During that time I did all the bobbing around on the oggin stuff for 10 years, spent a couple of years back at BRNC as a staff officer (and DTS, or IST as it became). I was also an INT bod at PJHQ, Fleet and MOD plus 3 years in Italy. Final job was media advisor at MOD and then Trafalgar 200. Since leaving I have worked in the NHS having been recruited into their senior management scheme. Currently I am a General Manager at the Whittington Hospital in N London.

Liphook GB Company Director Blake Missing Saturday Divisions because I was the Rugby Captain. Some pillock making me ponce about in boats on the river - what was all that about? Did 16 years service eventually becoming a PWO(CEW), thoroughly enjoyed all my time especially the 2 years in Hong Kong, my time in Beaver and Cornwall. Left in 2000 after getting crooked at rugby. Joined a small internet gambling start up based in Guildford where by coincidence a certain Mid Davis was the Marketing Director. I soon got rid of him and became the COO. Moved to another start up developing new tracking technology for horse racing, listed it on AIM then subsequently shut it down, long story. Spent the last 12 months as a contractor with the Football Pools but am now looking to set up a new Health and Fitness business. Married Jane in 1988 and have two grown up kids Alexandra (20) and Chris (18).

Ottawa CA Contract Consultancy - Maritime and Infrastructure Security Blake Grad Tech Burning my balding patch on DTS and then having to wear a beret at morning muster. V painful! Having treated BRNC as a school ground, my next few years where a little disjointed until I eventually became a Mine Clearance Diving Officer in 91. Two statutory MCD sea jobs bouncing around in little boats were followed by a string of fun jobs that included 4 mths in Hong Kong during the drawdown, Boss of FDU2, Experimental Diving ProjO at DCIEM Toronto, two years purgatory back in the Portsmouth HQ as punishment for so much fun, and then 3 years on loan service running the Omani Navy's diving team. Leaving the RN and emigrating to Canada Aug 08, I took 7 months off (3 skiing in Whistler) but the 2008 economic downturn foiled my new career ambitions, so I ended up back in RN uniform on a 6 month FTRS contract in the Portsmouth HQ in March 09. The Career Managers then tempted me with a 2 year FTRS contract back in Canada (Ottawa) as probably the only Reservist on an overseas exchange appointment. Completing my FTRS contract in Ottawa in Oct 11, still unsure what to do, I then put on an RCN uniform. But I remained stuck behind an Ottawa HQ desk for another 2½ years and decided the next options were even less fun, so I ditched the RCN in Aug 14. Since then I have been working on an occasional subcontracting basis. My long term view is that work is severely overrated, so I have bought a piece of land overlooking a lake in the untamed interior of BC, and next year intend to build a large cedar log house and live the laid-back BC dream in semi-retirement.
