PLX. Honestly.
All that pointless messing about in boats. Way out of my comfort zone.
Became a clanky and was fortunate to have a couple of foreign jobs. Like many, I liked being abroad so much I decided to make it permanent. Left the RN at the end of 08 and moved across the pond for a 5th and final time, to Canada. Now settled in Edmonton with my wife of 18 years, Liz (whom I met at a Freedom Fields party - imagine that!). Now leading a very diverse clean energy R&D team, but also a part-time volunteer ski patroller.

Left in 2000 and joined Andersen Consulting just before they became Accenture. Left there in 2004 and ran the UK pre-pay mobile phone busines of Orange for a while. Then joined the private equity world with Candover and have spent the last 3 years trying to mop up after the mess of the bursting bubble. Now have my own company www.nonlinear-thinking.com.
Not able to make it to the reunion chaps, sorry - in Barcelona racing a half Ironman.

Sailing out past the Castle on one of the yachts
Only 3 of us left at end of PLX and all that kit to carry off.
6 Years at Oxford (mainly rowing). Vol Ret mid way through Grad Tech in 1988. Realised that there were not going to be any diesel-electric boats soon (and that's why I'd joined). And I was hopeless anyway. Tried teaching as a "gap job" but loved it. Taught at Abingdon and Portsmouth Grammar. Have been Head of Royal Wolverhampton School and now Trinity School Teignmouth. Marriage number 2 (this one's working) with 3 sprogs. Going grey and wondering what the next 25 years hold.
Pity I can only make the dinner....

Trying to keep a straight face whilst shouting 'Kill, Maim, Destroy"
I have spent the last 25 years doing a variety of schoolie things in training establishments, in MoD, at sea, in headquarters and with the Army. I am still serving, and presently with the Army again in Blandford Garrison. I like to think of it as missionary work. I have been married to Pippa for nearly 22 years and have a boy, Peter(15) and girl, Heather (12). One of (I think) the last four Sep 85 Schoolies serving, and the only one left from Cunningham I am certainly the only one who's wife was recently ordained as a CofE priest, and thus a second career of coffee mornings, fund raising and PCC meetings beckons...

Loads!! Chose redundancy when pusser handed me a large brown envelope. A difficult but correct decision. Worked in the commercial world (quite a shock) as a training manager, then joined a consultancy organisation. Loved the work, hated the politics. Looked at joining another organisation but realised I was probably unemployable (too much of a rebel). Only option was to form my own business. Great decision, never looked back. Still doing it, love it.
